Our flagship CASSINI Matchmaking events run throughout the year across the European Union
Our matchmaking activities take place throughout the year, with in-person events hosted at high-profile, pan-European conferences, whilst our quarterly investor webinars are virtual.
To be eligible for our events, you must first register on the Matchmaking platform. This is also where you can express interest in a specific Matchmaking session you would like to attend.
In addition to participating in events, your platform registration gives you year-round access to a Europe-wide Matchmaking community. This allows you to identify, connect and engage with the right people at the right time.
Education and training
Meaningful matchmaking is only possible when a proper education and training are offered to all parties involved. Therefore, all approved participants benefit from education and trainings.
Our training helps investors and corporates to recognise the transformative potential of space technology and data, whilst companies benefit in learning how to fully leverage these opportunities to effectively communicate their value proposition.
The CASSINI initiative
In January 2021, the European Commission announced the creation of a €1 billion European Space Fund to support start-ups and space innovation.
The main objective was to cover the entire innovation cycle, from ideation to industry growth. On this basis, CASSINI (Competitive Space Start-ups for InnovatIon) was established to support EU entrepreneurship in space-related businesses.
CASSINI, managed by DG-DEFIS, is a comprehensive initiative tailored to the needs of companies at different stages of growth, from seed to mid-cap. It also supports companies developing space technologies and digital applications for different markets by improving their access to investment and professional networks.
As part of the EU's SME strategy, CASSINI aims to consolidate and streamline existing actions whilst stimulating new ones to create a structured, coherent and long-term public support mechanism to boost growth in the EU.
